The 4th International Conference on Anaerobic Biological Dehalogenation (DehaloCon IV) will be held in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, China during Sept 26-28, 2024.
DehaloCon, initiated in 2014 in Jena, Germany as a biennial event, has been successfully held 3 times in different countries (Germany-2014, Germany-2017, Italy-2021). The conference will span the whole field of anaerobic microbial dehalogenation of organohalides with a focus on the biochemistry and molecular aspects of organohalide respiration. Over the years, this conference has become an important global event in the areas of dehalogenation and we hope the attendees of DehaloCon IV will exceed 300.
DehaloCon IV will be organized by Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU) and Shenyang Institute of Applied Ecology (IAE), Chinese Academy of Sciences, in Guangzhou, and the scientific program will include one and half-one day lectures including plenary and young invited lectures.
The organizing committee of the DehaloCon IV cordially invite the colleagues and friends from both academics and industries to attend the symposium at Guangzhou on Sept 26-28, 2024.
