Greeting from China!

We are thrilled to extend a warm welcome to you for the DehaloCon IV - Forth International Conference on Anaerobic Biological Dehalogenation & First Symposium on Remediation of Organohalide Contamination, which will be held at Guangzhou in China from 26 September to 28 September.  And DehaloCon IV will be organized by Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU) and Institute of Applied Ecology (IAE), Chinese Academy of Sciences.  The scientific program will include one and half-one day lectures including plenary and young invited lectures.

This year, DehaloCon IV brings together an eclectic mix of thinkers, innovators, and pioneers from various fields. Our agenda is packed with insightful talks, engaging workshops, and groundbreaking presentations that promise to enlighten and inspire. This event is a testament to our commitment to pushing boundaries and fostering an environment where ideas can flourish.

As we embark on this journey over the next few days, I encourage each one of you to immerse yourselves in the experience. Engage with speakers, network with peers, and collaborate on ideas that have the potential to shape our future. Let us use this platform not only to share knowledge but to build lasting connections that transcend geographical boundaries.

As we proceed with our program, I urge you to embrace the diversity of thoughts and perspectives that DehaloCon IV offers. Let us challenge ourselves to think differently, to be bold in our aspirations, and to be agents of change in our respective fields.

I wish you all an enriching and enjoyable experience at DehaloCon IV. May the conversations you have and the connections you make here lead to innovations that resonate across the globe.
